MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF

LLANGWM COMMUNITY COUNCIL

TUESDAY 21st MAY 2019 AT THE PARISH HALL, LLANGWM, COMMENCING AT 7.30PM

COUNCILLORS PRESENT: Cllr David Williams (Chair), Cllr Bob Trigg, Cllr Gwyn Rowlands, Cllr John Watkins, Cllr Malcolm Hatfield and Cllr Colin Evans

IN ATTENDANCE: Clerk Shirley Hughes

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

Cllr Peter Gough and County Councillor Bob Greenland

2. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

Cllr John Watkins was proposed by Cllr Colin Evans, seconded by Cllr Bob Trigg and as there were no other nominations, Cllr John Watkins was elected as Chairman unanimously.

3. ELECTION OF VICE-CHAIRMAN

Cllr Malcolm Hatfield was proposed by Cllr John Watkins, seconded by Cllr Bob Trigg and there were no other nominations so Cllr Malcolm Hatfield was elected as Vice Chairman unanimously.

4. ELECTION OF OTHER OFFICERS

a) Parish Hall Representative - Cllr Peter Gough was proposed by Cllr Colin Evans, and seconded by Cllr Bob Trigg. As there were no further nominations, Cllr Gough was elected.

b) One Voice Wales Representative - Cllr David Williams proposed and Cllr Colin Evans seconded that as there were no nominations that the Clerk attend when possible.

c) Usk & Surrounding Area Cluster Group Representative - There were no nominations for this role, but the Clerk stated that she would be happy to attend these meeting (when she was able) and would report back to the monthly meetings. Cllr Hatfield stated that he would be prepared to attend if the Clerk was unable to.

5. DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE

Councillors were asked to sign and date the prepared forms, Declaring their Acceptance of Office as a Community Councillor for Llangwm for the year 2019 - 2020

After being circulated, these were taken as a true and correct record for the meeting and the Chairman signed them.

The AGM closed at 7.38 pm.
