MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF

LLANGWM COMMUNITY COUNCIL

TUESDAY 16^th MAY 2017 AT THE PARISH HALL, LLANGWM, COMMENCING AT 7.30PM

COUNCILLORS PRESENT: Cllr. Colin Evans (Chair), Cllr. Bob Trigg, Cllr Gwyn Rowlands, Cllr Peter Gough, Cllr John Watkins and Cllr David Williams

IN ATTENDANCE: Clerk Shirley Hughes

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

Apologies for absence were received from County Councillor Bob Greenland and Cllr Trevor Heywood

2. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

Cllr David Williams was proposed by Cllr Gwyn Rowlands, seconded by Cllr Bob Trigg and as there were no other nominations, Cllr David Williams was elected as Chairman unanimously.

3. ELECTION OF VICE- CHAIRMAN

Cllr Peter Gough was proposed by Cllr Bob Trigg, seconded by Cllr Colin Evans and there were no other nominations so Cllr Peter Gough was elected as Vice Chairman unanimously.

4. ELECTION OF OTHER OFFICERS

a) Parish Hall Representative - Cllr Peter Gough was proposed by Cllr Colin Evans, and seconded by Cllr Gwyn Rowlands. As there were no further nominations, so Cllr Gough was elected.

b) One Voice Wales Representative - There were no nominations, so the position remains vacant.

c) Usk & Surrounding Area Cluster Group Representative - There were no nominations for this role, but the Clerk stated that she would be happy to attend these meeting (when she was able) and would report back to the monthly meetings.

5. DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE

The Clerk stated that following the Election process on 4^th May, all Community Councillors are required to sign their Declaration of Acceptance of Office, and the Clerk to witness their signature.

This procedure was then undertaken.

6. MINUTES OF THE 2016 AGM - TUESDAY 17^th MAY 2016

After being circulated, these were taken as a true and correct record for the meeting and the Chairman signed them.

The AGM closed at 7.38 pm.
